Master Belbri's manuscript editor with this comprehensive guide covering all features and functionality.
The Belbri editor is a powerful, distraction-free writing environment designed for authors. To open the editor:
Use keyboard shortcuts or the formatting toolbar to apply bold, italic, underline, and other text styles. Select text and use Ctrl+B for bold, Ctrl+I for italic.
Create bulleted or numbered lists by clicking the list button in the toolbar or using keyboard shortcuts. Press Enter twice to exit a list.
Add hyperlinks by selecting text and clicking the link button, or use Ctrl+K. Links can point to external websites or internal manuscript sections.
Real-time word count is displayed in the bottom-right corner. Click it to see detailed statistics including character count, paragraph count, and reading time estimates.
Use Ctrl+F to find text, and Ctrl+H to find and replace. Supports case-sensitive and whole-word matching.
Use Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo. The editor maintains a full history of changes.
Your work is automatically saved as you type. Look for the "Saved" indicator in the top-right corner. Manual saves are also available via Ctrl+S.
Use heading styles (H1, H2, H3) to structure your manuscript. This helps with navigation and creates a table of contents automatically.
Add comments to your manuscript for notes, reminders, or feedback. Comments are visible when reviewing but don't appear in exports.
The editor maintains a version history. Access previous versions from the manuscript menu to compare changes or restore earlier drafts.
